Job Description

Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator is a team member of Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) and will be responsible for overall management and effective implementation of the “Reinforcing the Protection of Rights and Improving the Living Conditions of the Disabled People in Azerbaijan through Civil Society – Media – Government – and Private Sector Collaboration ” (ENPI/2014/347-370) project based in the CESD office in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Project Coordinator Responsibilities:
– Organize and lead project management committee (PMC) meetings
– Organize research groups;
– Regular meetings of staff and researchers;
– Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project;
– Implementing the agreed action plan to the agreed standards and deadlines;
– Review reports;
– Review policy papers;
– Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable;
– Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured;
– Development of project status reports to the EU Azerbaijan Office on agreed basis;
– Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
Specific Responsibilities for the proposed project:
– Schedule local mass media appearances and manage feedback
– Ensuring information of all activity events, including participation lists, notes, lessons learned, conclusions, etc. is collected after the completion of the Activity
– Taking part meeting with relevant stakeholders to discuss policy recommendations
– Joining to TV-Talk Shows and review YouTube scenarios

Project Coordinator Requirements:
– Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
– Knowledge and understanding of project coordination and scheduling
– Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
– Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and deadlines
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
– Minimum of four years of experience in management and coordination of projects;
– Ability to organize projects, communication events and other meetings;
– Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
– Strong oral and written communications skills
– Strong editing skills
– Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English languages
