Job Description

Project Assistant

The Project Assistant is a team member of Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) and will be responsible for aiding the Project Coordinator in the execution of their responsibilities and all communication among partners in ““Reinforcing the Protection of Rights and Improving the Living Conditions of the Disabled People in Azerbaijan through Civil Society – Media – Government – and Private Sector Collaboration ” (ENPI/2014/347-370) project based in the CESD office in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Project Assistant Responsibilities:
– Active participation in project management committee (PMC) meetings;
– Active participation in regular staff meetings
– Communication among all partners, local and foreign, to ensure all timelines on schedule
– Competing tasks as delegated by the Project Coordinator
– Review reports provided by Local Coordinators to submit to Project Coordinator
– Hold meetings with mass-media organizations to manage mass-media campaigns
– Have regular meetings with experts team
– Prepare report development of research and empiric reports
– Prepare notes and report from meetings with different stakeholders including state agencies
– Prepare monthly report to project coordinator

Specific Responsibilities for the proposed project:
– Attend all project events with the Project Coordinator
– Choose ToTs for Baku events and review Local Coordinator’s nominations for study tours and local ToTs
– Schedule and coordinate meetings with the Minister of Education and other state agencies as required
– Collect feedback for online portal and summarize activity there
– Review questions produced by survey group and give feedback
Project Assistant Requirements:
– Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
– Knowledge and understanding of scheduling
– Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
– Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and deadlines
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
– Minimum of one year of experience in coordination of projects;
– Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
– Strong oral and written communications skills
– Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English languages
