UN Launched CESD Strategy

United Nations Public Administration Division posted the CESD Anti-corruption Strategy in its official web-site (http://unpan1.un.org/intradoc/groups/public/documents/apcity/unpan047861.pdf). The CESD Anti-Corruption Strategy was developed and presented on February, 2011 with participation of government officials, reporters and think-tank analysts. The strategy covers various anti-corruption measures in Azerbaijan and some of them have been already approved by the government.

The Division for Public Administration and Development Management of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations was entrusted by the General Assembly in late 1999 to develop and implement an important programme entitled ”UPAN” (originally referred to as the United Nations Online Network in Public Administration and Finance).

UNPAN is designed to help countries, especially developing countries and countries in economic transition, to respond to the challenges that governments face in bridging the digital divide between the ‘haves and have-nots’ and to achieve their development goals.
