Social sphere accounts only for 25.4% of 2013 budget expenses

The state budget bill for 2013 is of investment essence but despite this a huge part of the budget costs will be used for social sphere.  The statement came from Finance Minister Samir Sharifov at the joint session of six committees of Milli Majlis.

He said social expenses will make 25.4% of the budget costs. These amounts will mainly be used for financing such spheres as science, culture, education, public health and so on. Science-related costs will rise by 55.2%, education by 33.3%, public health by 65.6%, culture and art development 82%.

Sharifov also noted that the publication of books in Latin alphabet will continue next year. AZN 5m will be allocated for this purpose.  AZN 88.5m has been allocated for financing universities, AZN 6.7m for preschool education, AZN 3.5m for computerization of schools, AZN 7.1m for provision of free textbooks to the schools.
