SOCAR oil export declined by 4,0 %

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 8,392m tonnes of oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC) in the first five months of 2013. Compared to the same period last year, exports through the pipeline decreased by 341,000 tonnes, SOCAR reported. SOCAR exported 8, 733 million tonnes in the first five months in 2012.

Concernig to monthly export in 2013, the export was 1, 429 million tonnes in January, in February – 1.743 million tonnes, in March – 1.411 million tonnes, in April – 1.83 million tonnes, in May – 1.975 million tonnes.

The pipeline is 1,768 km, of which 443 km are in Azerbaijan, 248 km in Georgia, 1,076 km in Turkey.

The shareholders of BTC Co partners are BP (30,1%), SOCAR (25%), Chevron (8,9%), Statoil (8,71%), TPAO (6,53%), Itochu (3,4% ), ONGC (2.36%), ENI (5%), ConocoPhillirs (2.5%) Inrex (2,5%), Total (5 %).
