Oil export continues to decline in Azerbaijan

In January-September, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan exported 1.089m tonnes of oil products from the two Baku oil refineries, sources in SOCAR said.

The export dropped by 362,975 tonnes over the same period last year.

Exports of diesel fuel in nine months hit 956,889 tonnes, a drop by 270,111 tonnes over the same period of the last year. The automobile gasoline export in January-September this year reached 73,868 tonnes, down by 60,435 tonnes over January-September 2010.

In the reporting period, export of jet fuel made up 53,936 tonnes, a drop by 35,415 tonnes over January-September last year. Additionally, export of black fue hit 5,332 tonnes in eight months, up by 4,568 tonnes over January-September last year.

In 2010, SOCAR exported 1,846,000 tonnes of oil products.

In September, the prices on oil products with FOBMED (Italy) supplies basis were as followed: automobile gasoline-$994.77, jet fuel-$983.28 per tonne, diesel fuel-$925.1 per tonnes and 1% sulphate masout-$642.98 per tonne.
