EU’s position on South Corridor not changed

The position of the European Union on the South Corridor has not changed and we want to open this corridor as soon as possible. Head of the EU Representation in Azerbaijan Roland Kobia told the statement to journalists,Gun.Az reported.

He said that they didn’t wish any delays in that issue. “As for TANAP, we have seen no agreement yet but we hope that will issue will find its solution soon. We can study more gas in Azerbaijan. Therefore, the infrastructure of TANAP can expand.”

According to Kobia, EU aims to realize the ambitions of both Azerbaijan and Europe, one of which is to build the biggest gas corridor from Azerbaijan to Europe. “We share the same objectives with Azerbaijan, with SOCAR, one of which is to have the biggest corridor for the transport of gas to Europe.”
