The Study Tour in Bulgaria

The 5-day study visit iof local farmers to Bulgaria was organized by CESD on may 08-14, 2022 within the project "Promoting local food production and agri-business owners through advisory services, the creation of new value chain models and agri-tourism " supported by European Commission, helped them to get in-depth knowledge and experience of Bulgarian farmers, information about technology and innovation, as well as marketing and quality control related information. This knowledge will be transferred to other local stakeholders through local training events.

Handbooks have been developed

Expert groups from CESD, Azerbaijan, and CED from Bulgaria have been working together to develop 7 (seven) training handbooks. Several joint online discussions were held in the handbooks development stage. The electronic versions of the handbooks have been posted on the CESD's website. All handbooks will be posted on social media in April 2021, and hard-copy of handbooks will be distributed through the advisory centers.  All handbooks will be posted in social media because small farmers are active users of Facebook. Other social networks such as Twitter and Instagram are not so popular among farmers, according to the survey done by CESD.  However, the survey shows that many small farmers actively use Facebook.
