CSO Capacity Building Program in Azerbaijan

Regional Workshops Start
Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) and Cyprus Management Center with support from European Commission organized Workshops for Local NGOs Leaders in Ganca, and Shamakhi on 26-29, April 2010. The 2 days workshops led by local trainers and were effective to equip 25 prospective local NGOs leaders with the skills, tools and creative techniques to deliver the project’s future interactive open training events in a way that makes learning enjoyable and effective. This served to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations and local authorities as a pre-condition for a more equitable, open and democratic society through support to their “own initiatives”.
Workshop discussions and results have been largely broadcasted by both local and national mass-media institutes. Local mass-media institutes including TV channels in Ganca referenced workshops and almost all leading national newspapers broadcasted materials from workshops.
