In recent years, the concept of resilience to disinformation has continued to attract the attention of policymakers, journalists, regular consumers of information and the worldwide media. In December 2021, the UN General Assembly adopted resolution 76/227 which expressed concern over the proliferation of disinformation. The resolution called for states “to counter all forms of disinformation through policy measures, including education, capacity-building for prevention and resilience to disinformation, advocacy and awareness-raising”.1 Following the resolution, in August 2022 the UN Secretary-General submitted a report on countering disinformation.
